The Tao of Listening

“When you are listening to somebody, completely, attentively, then you are listening not only to the words, but to the feeling of what is being conveyed, to the whole of it, not part of it.” – Jiddu Krishnamurti

For me listening is an ongoing journey. I often find myself attending to the stream of thought instead of paying attention to what you actually offer. I have noticed once that difference in focus is understood, part of me, no matter how tiny, begins to listen with intent and presence all the time. I can’t always be 100% present for you, life happens, but the very idea it’s a possibility opens the heart and sets new directions.

Be kind to you today, nothing is promised, but we have this moment and the next.
