Complexity

Lately, I have been noticing how complex and intricate life’s continuous movement is and how I am constantly attempting to minimize and simplify. But I also notice that there is a unique freedom that comes with attending to the complexity and accepting it. It redefines how I see myself and others.

The major shift for me is in knowing that I don’t have to take responsibility for things outside of my direct attention and engagement. I’m not responsible for how other people swim in this sea, I can only do the very best I can with what’s in front of me.

Initially there was some fear and anxiety and a feeling of being overwhelmed in this ever constantly changing and morphing life. But I can see that embracing the complexity is much more freeing than trying to control and simplify life.

Take care of you, smile today, and laugh when possible.
