I had a long conversation with a friend recently and she seemed distraught over this “spiritual journey” she has been on for several years. She said, “I just can’t seem to find myself.” I offered her this from a guide I was involved with years ago:
If you’re not you then who is in search of you? By what agency will you be found?
We are not searching for ourselves. We are seeking to accept ourselves as we are, living the constant variation of a theme.
She seemed to take some peace from that frame of reference. We cannot be the seeker seeking the seeker. That would be Conditioned personalities game that cannot be won and only provides suffering.
We are all equal to our own experience and that experience, because it is singular and rare in all the universe, is so worth accepting totally.
