Thinking about feelings is not the same as having them. It can lead to having body sensations that will become “feelings.” We can so easily be fooled by conditioned ego that we feel things. When, for many of us, not feeling is more of a general state. I get triggered intellectually and transfer it to the body.
Most of the time, if I am right here, it’s pretty peaceful. But all I need to do is watch the news or peruse Facebook and I’m off and running.
It’s worth examining what we let in. We do well to savor actual emotions, anger, sadness, happiness, joy, melancholy, or any one of the real physically based feelings.
Thinking I’m feeling never seems to have actual juice, it’s just another way for ego to remain at center.
